Happy Hanukkah Menorah Card

Happy Hanukkah Menorah Card

This card features the menorah die (DIE303-J) from Impression Obsession and one of the dies from the “Happy Hanukkah – czd149” set from CZ Design. The star is called “Blessed Hanukkah Die Set” from Altenew. The background was embossed with the Cuttlebug “Modern Wallpaper” folder. Recollections navy and white card stock was also used.

I needed to make several of these so I was trying to keep it simple. The biggest challenge was not losing all the flames (and of course adhering them to the card)! I also cut and stacked 3 of the greetings so that made it less simple as well. Hmmm…

I would love to find a Hanukkah themed embossing folder, but my search turned up empty.

Star of David Hanukkah Card

Star of David Hanukkah Card

I saw this card base design online (I wish I could remember where) and went to work to figure out how to make it. (No instructions were given; I’ve included instructions below on how I made mine.) The sample I saw was also a Hanukkah card; I think it would work well for a snowflake themed card as well.

The patterned paper is from a digital pack called Silver and Blue Hanukkah Paper by KlouiseDigiArt that I purchased on Etsy. The focal star is from “Menorah Medley Die Collection” from Papertrey Ink (no longer available?). I added another circle panel to the back for my sentiment which is from the “Blessed Hanukkah” stamp set from Altenew.

This card folds flat for mailing and fits in an A2 sized envelope. (The flattened card measures 4 1/4″ x 5″.)

Spotlight Hanukkah Card

Spotlight Hanukkah Card

Day 7 of the Holiday Card Workshop 2022 focused on using embossing folders. One of the lessons was called Spotlight Ink Blending and Embossing Folders” taught by Koren Wiskman.

This card features a stacked die cut from the “Menorah Medley” die collection from Papertrey Ink and the “Vine Pattern” embossing folder by Darice.

I also used Metallic Silver Sheets from Gift Boutique, GKD “Little Boy Blue” and white card stock, GKD In the Navy and Powder Blue inks, and a circle die to create my mask for inking.

I have very few Hanukkah greeting stamps, so I put no greeting on the front so I could include the “Happy Hanukkah” on the inside.

If you are interested in seeing how to do this technique, check out the class over at Online Card Classes.

Chanukah Circle Flip Card

Chanukah Circle Flip Card

I needed a bunch of these cards, and they came together pretty quickly once I had all the die cutting and embossing done. My MISTI made short work of the stamped panels on the inside. Good thing too because Chanukah starts on December 10th this year, and it kind of crept up on me!

The base for this flip card was made with the “Circle Flip Die” set from Creek Bank Creations. I added the Star of David from the “Menorah Medley Die Collection” from Papertrey Ink and used the Cuttlebug “Rebecca” embossing folder (discontinued?) to add some texture to the inside panel (that half shows even when the card is closed).

The greeting is from the Papertrey Ink “Menorah Medley Stamp Set” (no longer available?) stamped with Gina K Designs Blue Denim ink. The patterned paper is “Snowflakes” by Reminisce.

CAS Hanukkah Card

CAS Hanukkah Card

This is a Clean and REALLY Simple card.  Maybe too simple???

I saw this “Happy Hanukkah” stamp set from Lawn Fawn and really liked the whimsical menorah image.  Are we allowed to just stamp an image and a greeting and then mat it and call it done?  LOL!!  I needed to make a bunch of these to hold gift cards/monetary gifts, and my MISTI made it a breeze.

The mat and ink are both Gina K Designs Blue Denim, but as often happens, my blue paper and ink look different in photos but the same in real life.  Hmmm…
