Dots and Diagonals Birthday Card
Last week, I shared a card using this same diagonal frame, and for this version, I added some color.
The frame die I used for this card is one piece, so when you run it through your die cut machine, you get the frame, the mats, and the fillers all in one pass (and all the same color). I had unused pieces from last week’s card that I used here: the white frame and the brown for the mats. I used Blue Lagoon card stock (retired?) from Gina K Designs for the fillers. This frame die is close to, but not quite, A2 sized (5 1/2 x 4 inches) so I adjusted my card base a bit and will make a custom envelope.
The Darice “Dot” and the Stampin’ Up “Subtle” embossing folders were used to add texture to the blue fillers. The greeting was cut with the greeting die from the Free Standing Tunnel Card Drawer Die set from Creek Bank Creations.
After assembling the card shown above, there were leftover pieces of the blue so I used a few of the mat pieces for another card:
The Stampin’ Up “Subtle” embossing folder was used after the shapes were adhered to the white panel. The greeting was computer generated.
Thanks for checking out my card projects!

Always nice to use those left-overs from the cuts. Great cards! I like the texture with the dots.

So fun to see how you handle the leftovers. It is always interesting that one thing leads to another, usually with no end in sight.

I like both of these and always find using leftovers a very satisfying feeling. I wish I had that EF from StampinUP.
