Penn Cut Out Photo Card

Penn Cut Out Photo Card

(inside: Congratulations!)

A friend was being honored with the University of Pennsylvania’s “Alumni Award of Merit” for demonstrating outstanding service to the university.  I wanted to make a congratulatory card and came up with this design using a photo I had taken of Penn’s College Hall behind cut out letters.  The inside had plenty of room for a handwritten note.

I cut the letters with my Silhouette electronic die cutting machine from Core’dinations Bright White textured card stock and mounted it on Gina K Charcoal Brown, more of the textured white, and a heavy weight white 5 x 7 inch card base.  I chose this photo for behind the letters because it had gorgeous fall foliage for a pop of color and showed a bit of the Ben Franklin statue that any Penn alumnus would recognize!

Thanks for checking out my card project!
