Winter House Gift Box

Winter House Gift Box

Winter's Chill House 2

This gift box was made from a kit from svgcuts called Winter’s Chill SVG Kit.  Click HERE to check it out at svgcuts.com.

The kit contains svg files of all of the pieces needed to create this box.  I used my Cricut Expression with my Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software, but I could have used my Silhouette or any electronic die cutting machine that can cut svg files.  I selected all of the paper I wished to use and set up all of the cut files on separate “pages” by grouping images based on the type of paper I wanted the pieces to be.  Once all of the pieces were cut out by my electronic die cutting machine, I assembled and glued everything together and ended up with this amazing box!  SVGCuts has great tutorial videos that go with each of their their projects to help with assembling the pieces.  (HERE is the You Tube video link for this project tutorial, or you can watch it on their site as well.)

This box can be assembled with any paper you choose (and with or without the snow) so it can be made for a variety of occasions. The windows are lined with vellum so a battery operated tea light or two placed inside makes the house glow.  (Don’t use a real candle!!!)

This lantern was made from a kit from svgcuts call Crisp Days Of Fall SVG Kit.  Click HERE  to check it out at svgcuts.com.

The kit contains svg files of all of the pieces needed to create this lantern.  I used my Cricut Expression with my Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software, but I could have used my Silhouette or any electronic die cutting machine that can cut svg files.  I used a metallic bronze card stock  (Recollections) and vellum for this project.  Once all of the pieces were cut out by my electronic die cutting machine, I assembled and glued everything together and ended up with this amazing lantern!  A battery operated tea light placed inside makes the lantern glow.  (Don’t use a real candle!!!)  SVGCuts has great tutorial videos that go with each of their their projects to help with assembling the pieces.  (HERE  is the You Tube video link for this project tutorial, or you can watch it on their site as well.)

This lantern can be assembled with any paper you choose.  Also provided in the svg kit is a plain panel to which you can add your own design so it can be made for a variety of occasions.  I actually made a beach themed lantern a while back for a challenge on stamptv.  (HERE is the original post.)

Tea Pot Gift Box with “Tea Bag” Gift Card Holder

Tea Pot Gift Box with “Tea Bag” Gift Card Holder

tea pot photos 2

This project was made for Laurie’s “Stamp Out Cancer – Challenge #4 – ABC Challenge” for StampTV.  For this challenge, we are to create an ABC project.  ABC stands for “anything but a card” which can include something as simple as a tag, something as detailed as a home decor item, or anything in between.   (Sadly, this site is no longer active.)

It was also made for Lee’s “In the Pink for October” Mod Squad Challenge. In following with the very important theme of cancer awareness…..her challenge this week is to use pink – any pink, any way.  (Sadly, this site is no longer active.)

This tea pot gift box was made from a kit from svgcuts called Tea For You And Me SVG Kit.  Click HERE  to check it out at svgcuts.com.

The kit contains svg files of all of the pieces needed to create this tea pot box.  I used my Silhouette electronic die cutting machine to cut the svg files.  Once all of the pieces were cut out, I assembled and glued everything together and ended up with this amazing box!  SVGCuts has great tutorial videos that go with each of their their projects to help with assembling the pieces.  (HERE is the You Tube video link for this project tutorial, or you can watch it on their site as well.)

This box can be assembled with any paper you choose so it can be made for a variety of occasions.  The paper I used was a solid sheet from the DCWV Brights Cardstock Stack, and the pink and blue floral patterned paper was “Florence” by Melissa Frances.

For the “tea bag” which is really a gift card holder, I used paper from the Gina K Pool Side printed paper pack (the printed blue paper), and some Recollections paper (the printed pink and solid blue) that I picked up at Michaels.  For the stamped images, I  used the Gina K Designs “A Little Something” and “Little Branches” sets stamped with Memento paris dusk ink.
