Golf Cart Box Card

Golf Cart Box Card

Golf Cart Box Card xDSC_0811

This golf cart box card is from the Father’s Day Box Cards SVG Kit by SVGCuts. The kit contains several different box card projects with themes that are perfect for Father’s Day or that could be used year round.  In addition to this golf cart card, there is a baseball themed card, a toolbox card, a BBQ grill card, and a generic card with stars.  The kit contains the svg files that you can cut with your electronic die cutting machine, and you can choose the papers and embellishments. Once all the pieces are cut out, you assemble them into an amazing dimensional card!  A tutorial VIDEO is provided to make assembly a breeze.

What I love about box cards is that they fold flat to fit into a regular envelope, and depending on the embellishments that you choose, they may not even require extra postage (if you make them light and flat enough).

The patterned paper and printed card stock I used was Authentique “Durable” from the Loyal collection, “Green Plaid” by Paper Pizazz – Hot Off The Press, “Persnickety Finicky” by lilybeedesign, and Recollections silver shimmer card stock.  The textured white was the back of some scraps of printed paper I had in my stash.  The brown card stock was from the open stock at AC Moore (not sure of the name; no label).  The textured-looking metalic silver was from the “Silver Textured Foil” digital paper set by ScubamouseStudiosJr which I purchased on Etsy.  I also used Recollections green from their Christmas cardstock pack and Gina K Cherry Red.

I used the Sizzix Dot Matrix embossing folder to add the dimples to the golf balls and two Recollections brads on the wheels.

I found the score card on google and stamped “fore you” with Gina K Grass Green ink.  This stamp is from the CC Designs “Just Fore You” set.

There is a plain panel on the back where you could stamp or write a message and sign your name.  The sentiment I used is from the “And Many Mower” set (retired?) from Stampin’ Up, and was stamped with Gina K Green Grass ink.  (This stamp set also contains a “Happy Father’s Day” stamp which I also used in place of the “Happy Birthday” on a few cards.)

Embossed Sympathy Card

Embossed Sympathy Card

Embossed Sympathy Card wDSC_0851.jpg

My husband’s uncle passed away suddenly, and I needed to make several sympathy cards for his family.

I made this card with two of my favorite stamp sets.  The background was made with a stamp from the “Inspiration Mosaic” set by Gina K Designs, and the greeting and floral branch were both from the “Thoughts and Prayers” set by Stampin’ Up.  The images were heat embossed on Gina K Pure Ivory card stock with Versamark Ink and Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  The background panel was embossed with a 5×7″ folder called Basketweave by Darice.  The ivory panels were matted on Gina K Kraft card stock.

I used my MISTI to initially help me line up the stamps where I wanted them and then was able to stamp multiple times if needed to insure I had a perfect image before adding the embossing powder.  Also, I needed to make a number of these cards, and I was able to duplicate my design easily with the MISTI.

Hummingbird Thank You

Hummingbird Thank You

Hummingbird Thank You wwDSC_0897.jpg

This thank you note features the 4-step hummingbird from the “Picture Perfect” set by Stampin’ Up. There are 4 stamps that you layer on top of one another to create the levels of detail and different colors.  I used Gina K Ocean Mist for layer 1, Turquoise Sea for layer 2, Blue Raspberry for layer 3, and Memento Tuxedo Black for layer 4.  The “Thank You” stamp is from the “What I Love” set which was available for free from Stampin’ Up! during their Sale-A-Bration 2016 with a qualifying order and is now retired and can no longer be ordered. This was stamped with Gina K Turquoise Sea ink.  The background stamp is called “Floral Wood Cut” by Inkadinkado and was stamped with Papertrey Ink Soft Stone dye ink.  White card stock was used for the card base and stamped panel, and Gina K Turquoise Sea was used for the mat.

I made boxed sets containing multiple copies of this card. The MISTI made it easy to duplicate this design.

Thank You, Donna!

Back in April, the very talented (and generous!) Donna Phelan celebrated her “4th year in the Blog-O-Sphere” and offered visitors the chance to win a little something each Sunday throughout the month.  I was one of the lucky winners and received this “yummy” stamp set called “Sweetest Blessings” by Gina K Designs.

I am so appreciative for the awesome gift and also for all the wonderful inspiration that I get every time I visit Donna’s blog (craftingbytheseashore.blogspot.com), and you should definitely pop on over and check it out!

Thanks again, Donna, and congratulations on your 4th blog-a-versary!  (Sorry this post is so late; I am still trying to play catch-up here…)
