Tulip Thank You Note

Tulip Thank You Note

Tulip Thank You Note zDSC_0891

This card design may look familiar to you; I recently made an Easter card (HERE) with these stamps and this layout.  I simplified the card base and created sets of these thank you notes.  My Misti made it easy to make multiples of this design.

The tulips are from the “Two Step Stampin’ – Terrific Tulips” set by Stampin’ Up, and the greeting is a Recollections stamp from Michaels.  They were stamped on white card stock with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac, Lovely Lavender, and Fresh Asparagus Ink.  The white panel was adhered to a piece of Gina K Wild Lilac card stock and then to a white card base.

Waterfall Cards

Waterfall Cards

Baby Waterfall Cards DSCN5679.JPG

My last post was of a Mother’s Day waterfall card, and I realized that I had made a few others that I had never posted here so I thought I’d share them now.  (These were previously posted in my StampTV gallery.)

The baby cards shown above were made using svg files from the “Waterfall Cards SVG Kit” from SVGCuts and my Silhouette electronic die cutting machine.  The problem with posting things so long after they were made is that it’s hard to remember the actual papers and supplies that were used!  The good news is that you can use any paper for these projects, and they’d still be adorable!

I created this next one as a thank you note to send for my triplets’ birthday a few years back.   For this one, I used one of the files from the same “Waterfall Card SVG Kit”  (just to create the basic card base) along with the “Steve the Monkey” file from the “free designs” collection at SVGCuts.  I  changed the waterfall portion to have two sections instead of four, and  I adapted his head so his mouth would open when the ribbon was pulled, revealing the sentiment.

This final sample was a card I made (and taught) for one of the Holiday Card Classes offered at Michaels in 2013.  This class was called  “Vintage Holiday Card Tricks Class” and featured distressing techniques, heat embossing, and using Sizzix dies with the Big Kick.  We created this waterfall card along with two others that you can see HERE.  I did not design these cards; the lesson plans were provided.

Brush Stroke Thank You Note

These bright and “fun” thank you notes feature one of the stamps from the “Work of Art” stamp set by Stampin’ Up along with the greeting from the “Basket of Blossoms” set .

I stamped the paint swipes and greeting on white card stock using Gina K Designs  Applemint, Lipstick, or Blue Raspberry ink. The swipe is a large stamp with lots of rubber so I used my MISTI which allowed me to stamp each image several times to make them nice and dark.  This panel was then mounted on matching Gina K card stock and then on a white card base.

I made boxed sets containing two of each of the three colors. The MISTI made it easy to duplicate this design.

Hummingbird Thank You

This thank you note features the 4-step hummingbird from the “Picture Perfect” set by Stampin’ Up. There are 4 stamps that you layer on top of one another to create the levels of detail and different colors.  I used Gina K Ocean Mist for layer 1, Turquoise Sea for layer 2, Blue Raspberry for layer 3, and Memento Tuxedo Black for layer 4.  The “Thank You” stamp is from the “What I Love” set which was available for free from Stampin’ Up! during their Sale-A-Bration 2016 with a qualifying order and is now retired and can no longer be ordered. This was stamped with Gina K Turquoise Sea ink.  The background stamp is called “Floral Wood Cut” by Inkadinkado and was stamped with Papertrey Ink Soft Stone dye ink.  White card stock was used for the card base and stamped panel, and Gina K Turquoise Sea was used for the mat.

I made boxed sets containing multiple copies of this card. The MISTI made it easy to duplicate this design.

Shady Daisy Thank You Card

Shady Daisy Thank You Card

Shady Daisy Thank You Card xxxDSC_0304

This very simple, monochromatic thank you note features the Shady Daisy Backgrounder stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I think this stamp is so pretty and chose to add very little to it besides a greeting, but I’ve also seen it done in multiple colors and with added layers and embellishments which was also very nice.  I first saw (and fell in love with!) this stamp HERE on Verna’s blog where she posted several cards she had made with it.  (Thanks for the inspiration, Verna!)

I stamped the image on white card stock using Gina K Designs Peach Bellini ink.  It is a large stamp with lots of rubber so I used my MISTI which allowed me to stamp it several times to get a dark, complete image.  Then I stamped and embossed the greeting with a stamp from the “Think Big Favorites #5” set by Papertrey Ink using Versamark ink and Recollections Snow embossing powder. This panel was then mounted on a white card base.

I made boxed sets containing multiple copies of this card.  The MISTI made it easy to duplicate this design.
