Split Diagonal Easter Card

Split Diagonal Easter Card

(inside: Wishing you an egg-cellent Easter filled with joy)

This card features “Watercolor Stripe” paper from The Paper Studio, the “Happy Easter” greeting from Purple Daisy Design, and a cute Easter die I found on Amazon.

Recollections Navy and White and Gina K Designs Powder Blue card stock was also used. The inside greeting was computer generated.

This layout was inspired by Lisa Curcio’s video, but my measurements are different. I actually used one of my Mosaic Moments scrapbooking dies from the “30 Degrees” set (not available at this time?) to cut my patterned paper piece, but I included (my) measurements below to cut without the die if interested….

Holographic Hearts Valentine’s Day Card

Holographic Hearts Valentine’s Day Card

(Inside: have a happy day!)

Yesterday, I shared a “cute” Valentine’s Day card. Here is a more “grown-up” design …

Holographic Hearts paper from The Paper Studio was used behind a pierced heart cover die. I offset the white greeting die cut with the black, adhered it to the card front, and this card was complete. (And I have a pile of little white hearts for another project!)

Teddy Bear Valentine

Teddy Bear Valentine

(Inside: Happy Valentine’s Day!)

This cute little guy is ready to deliver Valentine’s Day wishes to my kadults (my adult children who are still young at heart)!

The pieces for the bear were cut from The Paper Studio’s Textured Leather, Sand Photo, and Holographic Hearts papers (along with a scrap of black). The balloon die was from the Balloons set (#FBD119) by Paper Smooches. The stitched background is unbranded.

This holographic paper looks quite different depending on how the light hits it:

This was a fun card to make!

Santa Belly Gift Box

Santa Belly Gift Box

This cute guy was designed (by Lori Whitlock) as a “belly lantern” (with cut out panels backed with vellum for the belly), but I changed it up a bit with solid panels to make it a gift box.

Santa is 9 inches tall, with a 3 inch sphere (inside) for his belly. The panels that create the round “belly” are attached with tabs (and not glued) so they are easily removed. (As I mentioned, I made this to hold a small gift, but a battery operated tea light would go inside if it were made as a lantern.)

*

If all of the panels and circular pieces are removed, it folds flat for storage (or mailing if the recipient would like to reassemble him!).

*

I cut all the pieces with my Silhouette, but an svg file is also available for purchase.

There is an assembly tutorial that shows how to create the belly portion of this project. I used the photo to see how the rest of the pieces went together. (There are several designs, but assembling the belly portion is the same for all of them.) Besides the card stock, I used the “Dainty Diamonds” embossing folder from Stampin’ Up to add texture to his belly, and I created the belt and fur on the embossed panel myself as these were not included in the file.
