Elephant Birthday Wishes

I used the Elephant with Kite stamp from Great Impressions and masked the kite so I could add a birthday balloon instead.  The single balloon was part of a trio of balloons on a stamp from the “Happy Birthday to You” set by Gina K Designs.  These were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers (elephant:  YR00, W1, W3, W5; balloons:  YR000, YR00, Yr04) and a Faber Castell White Pitt Pen.  The greeting is from the “Just Fore You” stamp set by C. C. Designs.  The white cardstock was cut with a die from the Spellbinders “Pierced Rectangles” set (#SCD-012) and mounted on Gina K Designs Blue Lagoon and a sheet from the GKD “Made With Love” patterned paper pack.

Stamped and Sponged Masculine Birthday Card

Over at the Mod Squad Challenge this week, we are encouraged to make a Masculine Birthday card.   (Sadly, this site is no longer active.)  I’ve not participated in a challenge in quite some time and have been struggling with getting back into the card-making mood so I thought I’d give this one a try!  I decided to go with a “back to basics” approach with some basic sponging and stamping.

For my background panel, I sponged Memento Warm Cocoa, Toffee Crunch, and Gina K Blue Denim inks on a piece of white card stock.  The mask I used to create the border pattern on the left is from a set called “Borderline Masks” by Tim Holtz.  I used the Warm Cocoa ink to stamp a portion of the “Musical Collage” stamp by Hero Arts onto my inked panel along with some speckles with a stamp from the Tim Holtz “Visual Artistry Collection Nature’s Elements” stamp set.  The greeting is from the “Pleasant Plurals” stamp set (retired?) by Gina K Designs.  In addition to the white card stock for my base, I also used a few sheets from a paper pack called “Neutrals” by Recollections.  A piece of twine finished off my card.

Happy Birthday Tees

This golf-themed birthday card features the printed paper called “Tee Time Collage” by Karen Foster Designs and the “Golf Tee Happy Birthday” stamp by Northwoods which was stamped with Gina K Blue Denim ink on white card stock.  Gina K Designs Blue Denim and Powder Blue card stock was also used.  The Golf Ball brads are from EyeLet OutLet.  The inside sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Especially for You – Golf Themed Birthday Card

(inside: hope your day is as fun as getting a hole-in-one!  happy birthday)

For those of you who are not all that fond of golf – Ugh, another golf card!  For those of you who are neutral or who are into golf, here’s another golf themed birthday card I made for the Rolling Green Holiday Boutique.  (Just a little over a month more and then I can start making “regular” cards again!!!)

This 5×7 card features a large stamp called “Fairway to Heaven” from Indigo Blue.  I used my MISTI and stamped it multiple times to get a nice solid, dark image.  The greeting stamp is from the “Especially for You Duo” stamp set (retired?) from Gina K Designs.  These images were stamped with Gina K Charcoal Brown ink.

I used an EK 2 Point Tag Punch to create the end of my greeting tag and my Marvy Paper Crimper for the vertical band.

Inside sentiment stamps are from the “Ed and Ethyl” page at Copper Leaf Creations and the “Birthday Blessings” from Gina K Designs.

Gina K Honey Mustard and Sweet Corn card stock and Recollections Ivory card stock were used along with GCD Studios “Thru the Woods” designer paper from the “Joyful Peace” collection.

The edges of all 9 layers/panels were inked with Gina K Charcoal Brown ink.  A piece of yarn behind the corner of the greeting tag finished it off.

Celebrate – Golf Themed Birthday Card

(inside: HOPE YOUR DAY IS PAR-FECT!  Happy Birthday!)

This 5×7 card features a photo stamp called “Golfer” from Darkroom Door.  I used my MISTI and stamped it multiple times to get a nice solid, dark image.  The greeting stamp is from the  “Vertical Greetings 2” stamp set from Gina K Designs.  (I needed to mask the exclamation point from the stamp because it was too long for the space on my panel.)  These images were stamped with Gina K Charcoal Brown ink.  I used my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser to rough up the edges of the stamped panel to match the jagged border of the golf image.

Inside sentiment stamps are from the retired “And Many Mower” stamp set from Stampin’ Up (that I found on ebay)  and the “You Know You’re Old When…” set (retired?) from Gina K Designs.

Gina K Charcoal Brown and Recollections Ivory card stock was used along with designer paper by Hampton Art called “Numbers” from the “Vintage Charm” collection.  A piece of chocolate colored raffia finished it off.
