Embossed Easter Cross

Embossed Easter Cross

wDSC_1215

(a blast from the past…)

This CAS card features a stamp called “Easter Cross” by Stampendous.  The image was embossed with gold embossing powder on GKD Ivory card stock. The mat was also embossed in gold (around the edges) before adhering to the back of the front panel. I used a Spellbinders oval die to emboss the frame around the cross.

This card was originally posted in my StampTV gallery May 4, 2014.  (Sadly, this site is no longer active.)

Peeking Bunnies Easter Card

(inside: to some Bunny special)

I really liked these dies when I saw them and envisioned the card in my mind that I planned to create with them, and then I had a bit of trouble trying to fit all the actual die cuts on the card front – lol!  Luckily, die cuts are moveable so I played around with the placement until I came up with something that worked.

The textured, purple card stock is called “Elegance” by core’dinations and has glitter on it so adhering the die cuts required glue (and not tape).  You can see how I attached these intricate die cuts HERE.  For this project, I used Art Institute Glitter Designer Glue.

You can see the sparkle a little better here:

I think the “Peeking Bunny Squares” by Frantic Stamper are so cute, and I love the font for “Happy Easter” by Impression Obsession!

Birthday Box Card with a Twist

Birthday Box Card with a Twist

I saw a video HERE where Maymay created a variation of a box card on the inside of her card.  The other interesting thing she did was to create windows through which you can view the popped up images that are sitting on the hidden strips or crossbars (like on a traditional box card).  And finally, she used stickers for her images (which I never think to do!).

I needed a few masculine cards so I set out to find stickers and card stock that would work with this card design and that would be appropriate for the men’s cards.  I ended up using Me & My Big Ideas (SPX-308) stickers (that I stuck to white card stock and fussy cut) and American Crafts Pinkpaislee #1254 card stock (from Dots & More Dots pad) as well as Recollections kraft and white.

These stickers are foiled.  Here is a better view of the shine.

Here’s a view of the crossbars.

I used a sticker on the front, but I wish I had heat embossed the greeting.  I’m not crazy about being able to see the clear around the words.  Oh well!

The greeting on the back is the Stampendous – Cling “Delightful Birthday” (#CRH306) stamp.

I’m Freaking Out – AGAIN!!!!!

I’m Freaking Out – AGAIN!!!!!

pulling hair out

It happened again – With one click, I somehow deleted a TON of photos from my site.  My slideshow is gone, and MANY of my posts are missing photos.  Ugh!!!!!!!

I am in the process of manually re-uploading them…one photo at a time.

I apologize if you have taken the time to visit and are seeing a bunch of empty squares where photos should be.  I will hopefully have this fixed soon.

Thanks for your patience!

UPDATE (4/15/19):  I FINISHED RELOADING ALL MY PHOTOS (AGAIN!!) AND ADDED THEM TO ALL THEIR POSTS AND TO THE SLIDESHOW ON MY WELCOME PAGE.  IF YOU HAPPEN TO NOTICE ANY PROBLEMS AS YOU BROWSE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS ON THE PARTICULAR POST SO I CAN GO BACK AND FIX IT/THEM.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE WHILE MY SITE WAS BEING REPAIRED!

Flip Flop Gift Box

Flip Flop Gift Box

(Inside: May you always have a shell in your pocket and sand in your shoes…)

(a blast from the past…)

The pieces for this flip flop gift box were from an svg file called “Free SVG File 162 – Flip Flop Box” (by Eleanor) that I got back in 2013 from a site called svgshop.com (which no longer appears to be in business), although this file (or something very similar) now appears to be available HERE (called “3D Flip Flop Box” by Lori Whitlock).  This file (and several other varieties) are available in the Silhouette Store as well.

The pieces were originally cut with my Cricut electronic die cutting machine and my Sure Cuts A Lot software.  This box could be sized as desired.  My box is approx. 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and 2 1/2″ high/deep.

I created the base with white card stock and covered it with papers from a 12 x 12 paper pad called “Simply Delightful“( item # HLSD01) by My Mind’s Eye.  The greeting inside the shoe came from the Gina K Designs “Gifts from the Sea” stamp set and was heat embossed in white.

This project was originally shared in my StampTV gallery on June 18, 2013.  (Sadly, this site is no longer active.)
