Bougainvillea Anniversary Card

Bougainvillea Anniversary Card

This card features the Bougainvillea Print hot foil plate by Pinkfresh Studio (and Silver Glimmer Hot Foil) along with the coordinating Bougainvillea Print stencil set.

The greeting was cut from the “Mini Expressions – Happy Anniversary” die from Creative Expressions.

The stenciling was done with Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow Ink, Gina K Designs Soft Stone, and GKD Moonlit Fog. Card stock is GKD Moonlit Fog and white. A score board was used to deboss the greeting panel. I was going for a soft, elegant, slightly monochromatic look, but it might have come out looking a bit flat. Hmmm…

Masculine Lines and Dots

Masculine Lines and Dots

vDSC_3850

(inside: Hope you have a wonderful day!)

This card features the Hero Arts “Line & Dot Pattern Bold Prints” background stamp (CG797) that I heat embossed in white on Gina K Designs Black Onyx card stock.  Then I added some Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Water Color (No 90 Gold) which resisted the embossing but showed up nicely on the black.

The greeting is from the “Banners” stamp set from Joy! Crafts and was heat embossed in white as well.  The inside sentiment is from the “Happy Birthday to You” stamp set by Scrapbook.com (#sbc-ds19-23).

The water colored panel was mounted on a white mat and then on a black card base.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well this card stock held up with all the water that was added. I did use some extra adhesive to help flatten it out.  (I really should tape my panel down to a board when I water color!)

Welcome Baby Mobile and Quilt Cards

Welcome Baby Mobile and Quilt Cards

Two quick baby cards to share…

I used a few unbranded dies to cut the mobile and pierced circle on this first card.

The greeting was from the “Miniature Type” set from Clearly Besotted, was heat embossed in white, and was cut with a Stampin’ Up Word Window punch (retired).

Texture was added to the background with a Cuttlebug “Swiss Dots” embossing folder, and a Creative Memories corner rounder was used on all the corners.

Card stock was Ocean Tides (Papertrey Ink), Light Aqua Plaid (Core’dinations) and white. I used SU Mint Macaron ink for smooshing.

And for the second card:

This simple card features the “In A Word – Baby” die from Winnie & Walter (no longer available) and the “Quilt Blocks” embossing folder by Darice. The “welcome” is computer generated. The plaid paper was from my scrap drawer.

Platinum Leaf Birthday Card

Platinum Leaf Birthday Card

This card features one of the images from the Tim Holtz “Falling Leaves” set along with stamps from “The Wetlands” (retired?) and “Sentimental Bouquet” both from Gina K Designs. The leaf and mat panel were heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder, and the images were stamped with GKD Kraft and Warm Cocoa inks.

Rounded Squares Birthday Card

Rounded Squares Birthday Card

In browsing YouTube, I stumbled upon (and have been loving!) videos by Sam Calcott where she shows tons of ideas on using scraps of patterned paper. The idea for this card was found in this video.

The squares are 1 inch with 1 1/8 inch mats. To round the corners, I used my We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Envelope Punch Board. My finished card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches with a 5 inch panel for all my elements. (Hint: place the 4 “pink” squares, point to point, on the card first. Then add the others.)

The greeting was cut using the “Happy Birthday Script” die (TAD0304) by A-Muse Studio. I punched the small flowers in the centers with the “Flowers & Flourishes” Edger Punch by EK Success and the dots with the “Bubbles” Border Punch by Fiskars (no longer available?). The rounded squares were popped up with foam tape.

Here’s a photo with less direct light:

The scraps used for this card were leftover after making my Twisted Easel Mother’s Day Card which came from the “Our Family Tree” paper pad from The Paper Studio and silver card stock.

I made an envelope for this card with my envelope punch board. (Start with an 8 7/8 inch square and make initial punch at 4 3/8 inches.) Because this is square, I will have to take it to the post office to mail.
