Idyllic Lighthouse Scene
(Inside: enjoy your day)
This card features a stamp from the Idyllic Floral Scenes series called “Lighthouse” (#IFS040) by Nellie Snellen and a greeting from GKD’s Birthday Blessings (retired?) both stamped in GKD Chocolate Truffle amalgam ink on Recollections White Dove card stock. I matted the stamped images with GKD Chocolate Truffle and Sea Glass card stock and then with a sheet from The Paper Studio’s Dalmuti paper pad.
I was going for a “sketched feel” so I left the image uncolored and chose a greeting stamp that looked handwritten. The inside sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s “Two-Step Stampin’ Riveted” set (retired).
This is a quarter of the 12×12 patterned sheet that I used:
It’s a bit busy for me, but I think it makes an interesting mat. I can check off another sheet in my self-imposed challenge to use this patterned paper!
Thanks for checking out my card project!

The lighthouse makes such a peaceful scene. It really is idyllic. The pattern paper makes a perfect mat.

I agree with Judy. Beautiful image left uncolored. The busy paper is perfect for a mat. Lovely card!

Lisa, I love how the color is only in the frame. It’s a beautiful way to make your image stand out from your background and add calmness.
