Party Streamers Bridge Card

I was trying out the “Layered Party Streamer” stencil set from Creek Bank Creations (#T23026) and used the panels to create this bridge card.

Gina K Designs “In the Navy” ink was used for layer 1 and “Lucky Clover” was used for layers 2 and 3.

My “bridge” was created with a die from the Sizzix/Stampin’ Up “Star Blast Edgelits Dies” set (retired?) and the “Happy Birthday Script” die ((TAD0304) from A-muse Studio.

This card folds flat for mailing and fits in an A2 size envelope.

The bridge card was actually the second card I created using these stencils. For my first attempt, I used the panel as a plain background.

It was inked with GKD “Blue Denim” and “Plum Punch” with the same Recollections Navy and White card stock. The greeting was the “Happy Birthday Chunky Sentiment” die set from Creek Bank Creations. The blue shadow was cut and layered 5 times so it stood out better against the “busy” streamers.

For the stenciling on this one, I used an ink blending tool with sponge applicators. I used blending brushes for the panels on the bridge card, and while I had to reload them with ink more, it was easier to get the ink into the nooks and crannies of the stencils with the brushes. (For those of you who stencil a lot, you probably know this, but I don’t do it so often so it was news to me – lol!)

Card Base: 8 1/4 x 4 1/4 scored at 1 3/8, 2 3/4, 5 1/2, and 6 7/8. Fold as shown (mountain, valley, valley, then mountain).

Decorative Panels : (4) 1 1/8 x 4 and (1) 2 1/2 x 4.

Bridge: 5 1/2 across (or less but longer than 2 3/4 so it fits across the center with some overhang to attach to the sides). The height can be whatever you’d like to accommodate your design choice.

Plain Panel (for sentiment/message on back): 2 1/2 x 4.
