Be Strong…

Be Strong…

I was asked to create a panel for a 4×6 inch frame with the quote, “Be strong.  You never know who you are inspiring.”  She asked that I do the panel in pink, gray and white.  This is one of the samples I came up with.

This was part of a gift for someone battling breast cancer.  The woman is a school principal, and the gift-giver wanted her to have something for her desk to encourage her to stay strong.  Because the butterfly wings are off the panel a bit, she decided to use the frame she purchased without the glass.  (I didn’t have the frame when I took my photos.)

Here are the other samples I came up with from which she could choose…

The bottom two samples could be customized with the embossing folder or background stamp of choice, and the center panel with the quote could be done with different shapes (oval, heart, etc.).

Over at Die Cut Divas this month the theme is to use red or pink in your project.  A die and/or an embossing folder must also be used.

To see the supplies used on each of the samples…

Embossed Butterfly sample – The patterned paper is part of a digital pack called “Textured Valentine Grunge” from a store called TheDigitalStash on Etsy.  The card stock used is Stampin’ Up Smokey Slate and white.  The panel was embossed with the “Butterflies in Corner” embossing folder by Darice.  The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart.  The quote was computer generated (black jack font).  The awareness ribbon stamp is from the “Fight Like A Girl” set by Gina K Designs and was stamped first with Papertrey Ink Soft Stone and then with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet (stamped off).

Triple Layer sample – I CASED a card I previously made HERE and changed the colors and panel sizes to fit the frame.  The stamps are from the “Birthday Blessings” and “Fight Like A Girl” sets by Gina K Design. The ink used was Hero Arts Soft Granite shadow ink and Gina K Bubblegum.  The butterflies were heat embossed with versamark and Recollections Snow embossing powder.  Card stock was Stampin’ Up Smoky Slate and white.  Quote was computer generated (alex brush font).

Mosaic sample – Another CASE of a card I made previously HERE.  Stamps used were “Inspiration Mosaic” by Gina K Designs and “Thoughts and Prayers” by Stampin’ Up.  Ranger Cool Graphite ink was used for the stamped images, and the sponged blocks were done with Hero Arts Silver shadow ink and Gina K Bubblegum.  The quote was computer generated (black jack font).  The gray card stock is Bazzill Tiara.

White embossed background sample – I used the “Scroll Background” embossing folder by Darice.  The quote was computer generated (alex brush font).  The ribbon was from the “Fight Like A Girl” set stamped with Bubblegum ink, both by Gina K Designs.  Card stock was Stampin’ Up Smoky Slate, Gina K Bubblegum, and white.

Pink panel with background stamp sample – For this one, I used the “Soft Swirls” background stamp by Stampin’ Up.  The quote was computer generated (alex brush font), and the ribbon was from the “Fight Like A Girl” set by Gina K Designs.    Card stock was Bazzill Tiara, Gina K Bubblegum, and white.  Ink was Gina K Bubblegum.

Thanks for checking out my projects.
