Stitched Tulips with Sentiment Strips to Print
This card features the “Stiched Tulip” die (#938-E) from Impression Obsession.
Patterned paper from Love Nicole and from the DCWV Essentials Stack was used along with white card stock that was embossed with the “Subtle” embossing folder (retired) from Stampin’ Up.
The greeting was computer generated and cut with a sentiment strip die by Alinacutle. This die came with a coordinating stamp, but I created my own sentiment sheet that I could customize as needed. This die cuts a bunch of strips (22!) with one pass through the die cut machine. You can either cut a bunch of blanks or a bunch of pre-printed ones to have ready for future projects.
You can also use this die to cut a single sentiment by stamping or typing a greeting on a scrap and then finding the one opening/portion of the die that fits.

Of course, you could also stamp the greetings that come with the die and cut/use those!
Because the strips have rounded corners, I was not able to cut a coordinating mat with my trimmer so I used the die to cut another strip (same size) from colored card stock and offset it for a shadow effect instead of a full mat.

All I can say is WOW!!! I love sentiment strips and dies. This one is really cool and quite affordable. You’re so clever and generous to create your own sentiments and share them. The only way I’d know to do this is in a Word table, but with a lot of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Thanks for saving me from that.

I used my Silhouette software. I scanned the negative of the die cut to create a template and then weeped, wailed, and gnashed my teeth until I got it all right – lol! (For some reason, the scan was close but not exact so it required a TON of tweaking.) Once I had the template right, typing the individual sentiements in each of the openings was not too bad. And now that I have the template, I can easily change the words or fonts. I’ve since made a mixed sentiement sheet and a holiday sheet which I will share in a future post.

Lisa, this is really pretty. I love that you used different die cut patterned papers to make your flowers. The sentiment being offset is a great idea. I’m with Judy on loving your sentiments and that die.

I love the style of these flowers. I have considered getting those sentiments with the special die, but I haven’t caved yet. I haven’t crafted that much this year but I still bought stuff. I just organized everything and then made 2 cards. So maybe that is a good start.
