Autumn Leaves
I recently made several “smooshed” panels in autumn colors and used one to die cut a leaf and the greeting on this card.
The leaves were die cut with the Tim Holtz “Tattered Leaves” bigz die by Sizzix. These leaves are fairly large; this card is 5×7 inches.
The inks used for the “smooshed” panel were Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs Distress inks and Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.
In addition to the “smooshed” panel, paper also came from the Recollections “Union Square” paper pad. The Copper card base is from Cardstock Warehouse.
You can find the greeting in the “Miniature Type” stamp set by Clearly Besotted and was stamped with GKD Chocolate Truffle Amalgam ink.
I untwisted a piece of jute and tied one of the strands on the “smooshed” leaf stem.
Thanks for checking out my card project!

Now this is fall y’all. Your jute is brilliant.

Enjoyable masculine feel card. I have that die, from my mother, and have had no idea what to create with it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Lisa, I love how your smooshed panel made that wonderful leaf. I also really like your “newsprint” leaves. Those really stand out and make me smile. The card is wonderful. It’s fun seeing how you are using your panels and your fun ideas.

Using both newsprint and one of your smooshed panels for the leaves makes for a perfect masculine style card. Love the background as well. Adding the jute finishes everything.
